Five things to love this week…

1. Advent calendars for grown ups – Ciate Mini Mani Month advent calendar available from Selfridges

2. Black stallion Terry sweater by wild fox available from matches fashion

3. Halloween food and drink – This little bottle of pure grain vodka is home to a farm-raised, edible scorpion, which gives the vodka a smooth, woody taste. Serve the vodka neat, straight from the freezer, or blend with tonic or other mixer. The scorpion has been specially treated to ensure no toxins remain, so you can eat it once the vodka has gone – if you dare available from fortnum and mason

Handbags at dawn YSL and Dior

With two of the biggest fashion houses engaging new designers Paris was always going to be interesting.

Hedi Slimane for YSL paid tribute to the codes of Yves Saint Laurent and produced a beautiful but safe collection, not entirely well received in the industry.

Raf Simons for Dior, sort to break free from the past, with exciting new shapes and much more fluidity to the collection, which received rave reviews.

We take our hats off to both designers, for making Paris such a memorable show.  We love the Saint Laurent magic and new direction for Dior.  Who is your favourite?

Have a great weekend –
